At All-West Glass – green is our favourite colour and we are doing our best to go even greener! We’re not perfect, but we’re committed. We’re committed to reducing our footprint on the earth through continual improvement. Here are some changes that many of our stores are making to reduce, reuse and recycle:

Most of our stores engage in recycling cans, bottles, paper, cardboard and toner ink.
We purchased biodegradable garbage bags (promo).
We use recycled paper for our desk pads & notepads (promo).
Customers are welcome to help themselves to lumber from old crates.
AWG Distribution in Prince George, BC donates rolls of paper to daycares and schools to use for art projects.
We support ongoing beautification projects to add more green spaces around our locations wherever possible. We encourage our store owners to plant flowers and hang flowerpots in the summer.
We try to scan in all important documents rather than photocopy and print.
Our Fort St. John store washes and re-uses glass cleaning rags. They buy used linen clothes from roll dispensers, cut them into 14 inch pieces and use them to clean windshields.
Much of our older electronic equipment is given to charity or recycled.
We encourage all employees to shut off vehicles so there is no unnecessary idling and try and send less vehicles to job sites.
We recycle aluminium wherever possible.
Most stores offer old windows/doors for resale for use in cabins, garages and greenhouses etc.
Glass, especially laminated glass from windshields is difficult to recycle – especially in this part of the country. We welcome your suggestions.
