All-West Glass Low-E

Low-E glass is a high performance, energy efficient window glass made with an invisible coating that blocks heat flow. Ordinary clear glass allows heat to pass through it. Since heat always flows toward cold, in winter, inside heat flows to the outdoors. And in summer, heat from the outside flows through your windows into the cooler interior. This special coating helps separate heat from cold, so you save on energy costs year round. In winter, heat stays inside, where you want it, to keep you warm. Low-E glass is better than ordinary glass at keeping heat inside in winter. In summer, it helps keep heat outside, so you can stay more comfortable.

Because Low-E helps keep the inside glass warmer, you can also enjoy a more comfortable humidity level. This greatly reduces condensation and fogging on your windows, so you don’t have to wipe off windows and sills, or worry about moisture damaging the interior of your home. Damaging UV rays are also reduced, helping protect your interior drapes, upholstery and carpet from early fading.

All-West Glass Low-E with Argon Gas

In a thermal unit with Low-E and Argon, the argon gas replaces the air inside the unit. Because it is heavier than air and is not in continuous motion like air, the transference of heat and cold (convection) is greatly reduced. Combined with Low-E, the Argon gas provides extra insulation and you get a very energy-efficient window.
